As I am wrapping up my last day in Jackson, I am left with sad yet fond memories of the folks I’ve bonded with. My time at the ACLU shed light on my ability to integrate quickly, but also was an opportunity to build a community. Though it was only a two week time-span, I must say that I met beautiful, compassionate, diverse, fun-loving individuals who openly embraced me. I cannot put in to words the gratitude and appreciation, but it is heartfelt.

I thank you.
This has been one of the toughest transitions, yet I felt at home each day I was here. I am looking forward to reconnecting. Your well wishes and direction will not go unrecognized, I will continue to work hard and move the people of Mississippi forward.
To Cleveland, I go.
The Delta, my new home.
